I used to read a lot of fantasy and sci-fi. I liked Star Wars and I still like Star Wars, I've read every single Star Wars book. I'm not a huge fan of the movies but I really like the written books. I did a lot of reading when I was younger; I can pretty much finish a 350-page book in one sitting of six hours. I'm a huge series person so I would just power through them one after another.
Growing up I went to 13 different schools and lived in three different countries and spoke three different languages. My parents never believed in television so we never watched TV. Television was not built into our lives. I don't have a TV now. Consoles were not allowed so I never had video games. There were comics and a lot of imagination.
I read Chinese, so when I was living in China I picked up a couple of Chinese comic series and their drawings are kind of similar to my style of photography, so that could be a bit relevant. The Chinese comics are not exactly like Japanese comics, they are more photo realistic.
